Privacy Policy — BeastLoader (Chrome extension)

BeastLoader is a companion to the BeastLoader download manager desktop application, which runs on your own computer. The extension captures downloads you start in the browser and passes them to the local BeastLoader engine.

What this extension does with data

• Download URLs and file names of downloads you initiate are sent only to the BeastLoader engine running on your machine. The engine listens on 127.0.0.1 / localhost; nothing is sent to any internet server.
• Two user preferences — the engine address and whether download capture is enabled — are stored using Chrome's sync storage. Chrome may synchronize these between your own devices signed in to the same Google account. You can change or clear them at any time from the extension popup.

No collection, no sharing

The extension does not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services. No data leaves your device (apart from Chrome's standard syncing of the two preferences above, which you control).

Retention

The extension itself retains nothing. Download metadata is sent once to the local engine process and is not stored by the extension.
